TEDxPortofSpainSalon – Creative Connections
Date: July 2, 2013 Time: 6:00 p.m.
“The greatest call to action is the desire to create.”
TEDxPortofSpain would like to welcome you to our first salon of 2013, Creative Connections!
In the leadup to our main event in December, TEDxPortofSpain will be hosting our first salon of the season. This Salon will be held on July 2nd, 2013 at the Trinidad Theatre Workshop. A TEDx Salon is a small weekly or monthly event that keeps a TEDx community engaged between larger annual events. At a TEDx Salon Event, attendees can watch TEDTalks and have discussions.

We would also like to send out a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in all of our salons in 2012 as well as to those who attended TEDxPortofSpain 12.12.12 – Courage. Now that we have engaged in meaningful dialogue with “Changing Converations” and faced formidable truths with “Courage”, we feel that it is time to forge “Creative Connections”!
For this salon, TEDxPortofSpain has partnered with the Trinidad Theatre Workshop to bring you an interactive style salon aimed at stimulating conversation about the potential grand impacts of creative connections and how it can be inspired by and within individuals and institutions. With the permission of the audience, we hope to take a very participary approach and we will be drawing on some traditions and techniques of improvisation to engage in what we are calling experiments with conversation.
