Carver Bacchus holds a BSc in Communications, a Diploma in Film Production and has over 15 years of professional experience in the areas of Management and Marketing. He has worked in both the public and private sectors in Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean and North America. Carver is Managing Director of Sustain T&T, a not-for-profit that develops creative communication tools for environmental and sustainability education. In particular, Sustain T&T has developed the only environmentally focused film festival in the English-speaking Caribbean - Green Screen Environmental Film Festival.
Carver also leads the film production arm of Sustain T&T which has produced several sustainability focused documentaries since 2012 in collaboration with agencies such as the United Nations Development Programme, the German Embassy Port of Spain and the University of the West Indies and FilmTT.
Sustain T&T is also concerned with the long-term economic sustainability of T&T and Carver has piloted several education interventions related to this issue. Outside of work, Carver is a very quiet Arsenal fan, an appreciator of literary arts and a music lover; reggae, roots and classic soca are on his go-to list.
