Giselle is a Design Strategist who has worked primarily in design, marketing and brand strategy, creating environmental, social and economic value for a variety of brands. She is currently the Head of Brand and Communications at InPlanet, a German Brazilian impact-driven AgTech startup whose vision is to remove gigatons (billions of tons) of CO2 from the atmosphere by working with Enhanced Rock Weathering in tropical agriculture. InPlanet’s purpose is to create a liveable planet for future generations and more specifically, to regenerate soils and ecosystems, grow nutritious food, increase food security and sovereignty in the tropics. In this role, Giselle is working to uncover inflection points for communications that scale both the company and bring carbon dioxide removal to a wider audience, beyond the industry.
In 2020, she founded the first life-centered design consultancy in the Caribbean; prior to that she worked with a UK women’s empowerment and reforestation charity to plant seven million trees across the tropical belt. More recently, she has been recognised as part of a team awarded by Canada’s Ministry of Innovation, Science and Economic Development “New Frontiers” Grant, which supports world-leading “interdisciplinary, high-risk, high-reward research”.
Giselle enjoys working with bright people on massive, complex problems, in service of our collective, thriving future. Also, she does everything with a whole lot of love and joy.
