Host Kimiko
Kimiko is an enthusiastic participant in life's journey and has jumped head-first into a number of pursuits. Following in the footsteps of her mother and aunt, she is a radio presenter with experience on four frequencies over seven years. Kimiko holds a BA from COSTAATT in Mass Communications and spent time working as a copywriter and news-journalist, but she is always happy to recall that she also sold toilets, well, bathroom fixtures to be more precise, managed an architect's office, studied law, marketed accounting or point of sale software, and even supervised 400 children at a summer camp.Kimiko’s interest in effective communication led her to an MA in Communication for Social and Behaviour Change which she completed in 2018. As part of her final research she wrote, produced and tested an audio drama on the history of T&T National Anthem. She intends to continue research in the power of audio broadcasts in a Caribbean content for a Ph.D. in Communication.
In early 2019, Kimiko signed on as an Executive Director at A Plus Communications Ltd, a company that offers data-driven, communication solutions. You can also catch up with Kimiko on STAR 94.7 co-hosting the Morning Star programme from 5-9am.
