Announcing Delegate Ticket Request
We’re thrilled to announce that ticket requests for the TEDxPortofSpain 2012 conference are now open. Requesting an invitation is free. Once invited, the cost to attend is $TT300. In order to ensure money is not a barrier to attend our events, we do offer bursaries. Please see instructions on the form page to request a scholarship.
To request a ticket, please fill out our form. Please note that the deadline to request a ticket is November 20th, 2012.
Why Apply?
You love TED. You want to share an unforgettable experience with a unique group of people. Although TEDx events feature great speakers, the event is really about the people who are attracted to these kinds of events.
We have adopted some of TED’s practices—like their practice of requesting an invitation. When a delegate takes 10 to 15 minutes to complete the application, it creates a common threshold for everyone entering the event. This practice helps to ensure that our limited seats go to people who are committed to being there. We have no VIP’s nor will we ever have VIP delegates. Only those who apply can attend.
We anticipate receiving almost 900 applications, but we only have space for 400 attendees. We carefully curate our audience so that the audience is a diverse, creative mix of leading thinkers and doers who are committed to ideas worth sharing and ideas worth doing.
Who is a typical TEDxPortofSpain delegate?
Delegates are usually a group of thoughtful and engaged individuals. Past participants have included entrepreneurs, journalists, techies, educators, artists, bloggers, students and professors..
