Onika Henry

Onika Henry lives on the island of Tobago, and is a Widener University trained sexologist (M. Ed.) and qualified Sex Coach (Sex Coach U), who has a B.A. in Theatre Arts, with a minor in Psychology. She uses this combination of specialties for the benefit of her clients who need to talk about sex and sex-related issues, in an environment that is healthy, fun, productive and most of all, safe and non-judgemental.After completing her BA, Onika got a job in the field of Arts & Culture, but soon found herself extremely frustrated with the work environment and left. She was referred to the Tobago HIV & AIDS Secretariat. Although the position as an Information, Education and Communications Officer seemed to be a far cry from her training, she took the job, excelled at it and was hooked.

Onika’s thirst for knowledge on sexual health education grew and upon receipt of the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship, she continued her education and returned home fully equipped to continue her life’s work. Today she educates, and she does therapeutic and healing work around sexuality as a certified (2016) Sex Coach with Sex Coach U, an organization created by a pioneer in the field of sexuality, Dr Patti Britton.

Henry continues to be involved in community programmes and has done many presentations at schools, and even ventured to a church where she was well received. Onika is also a mother, a lover of the ocean, food and all things artistic (paintings, music, dance, theatre, photography); this is what truly keeps her grounded.
