Dr. Keith Nurse can be described as an academic entrepreneur who uses his training and expertise in
global political economy, trade policy, innovation governance and creative entrepreneurship to promote
social change and economic transformation. Keith is an expert member of the Economic Development
Advisory Board of Trinidad and Tobago; regionally, he is the Chair of CaribbeanTales Worldwide
Distribution and former Executive Director of the UWI Consulting Inc. at the University of the West
Indies, Jamaica and the Shridath Ramphal Centre, Barbados; and internationally he serves as an expert
and member of the executive bureau for the UN Committee for Development Policy.
He has worked as a consultant in East Africa, the Indian Ocean region, North America, South America, Europe and the Caribbean providing advice to a wide range of regional and international organisations such as CARICOM, CTO, Compete Caribbean, Caribbean Export, OAS, IDRC, South Centre, UNIDO, IDB, CAF, Commonwealth Secretariat, and the Medical Research Council UK. At present he is a Senior Fellow at the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute for Social and Economic Studies, UWI, Cave Hill and the World Trade Organization Chair at The University of the West Indies. Dr. Nurse is the proud executive producer of the docudrama “Forward Home: The Power of the Caribbean Diaspora”.
